Since we are at the topic of wedding....here's something for us to think about....
"Often when a women is feeling stressed, she moves toward her husband for comfort. Give your wife a listening ear, a gentle hug, and a strong shoulder - and no advice unless she asks for it!"
"Romance in marriage doesn't just happen; it's something you make happen by thought, attention, desire, and action."

Also, Nathan out of the blue asked me, "daddy do you miss me?" It such a heart warming dinner and question.

Pastor Or CEO?
Recently, I was trying to make an appointment with a pastor friend of my for lunch or dinner. He was kind of hard to get him because he is a very very busy pastor. That set me thinking.....
What exactly is a job of a pastor? A person who is there to care, love, concern, counsel, guide, 'scold', encourage, praise, set example, teach...etc, etc.....
Or is he a CEO...runs the office, church, set goals, visions; lead, manage, motivate the people; coordinate programme, ensure program es are carried out effectively, meet targets, show sympathy but without compassion......
I think that what people are looking for these days are not another 'boss'. We are looking for someone who is genuinely loving us, accepting us, encouraging us, be there for us (not only the bad or happy times but during normal times).
The difference between Pastor pastor and CEO pastor....the later is only available for you when there is a need; may it be ministry works, funeral, wedding or when something happened to our lives. Pastor, on the other hand, spend time with us not only during our joyful or sorrowful times, but is always there, he is just like a FRIEND; just like Jesus.

Good Friday
Today is Good Friday. It was the day Jesus died for us. He, the Son of God, King of kings, came to died for you and me on the cross at Calvary. Thank you Jesus, thank you Lord.
We had a wonderful Good Friday Service. The turnout was a little disappointing but God is good; we saw many people surrendering their lives to Christ Jesus.
Later we had lunch with Yvonne's nephew, Chuan Seng. Guess what, he brought his girlfriend along.....a beautiful, bubbly, confident, young girl. We found out that they are with each other like 13 days only....hahaha...we get to see her even before his mom does....as for the rest of the details...cannot write here lah.....
Oh, Nathan requested to buy salmon sashimi again, this round he ate like about 8 big slices.....Yvonne and I only managed to have like 3 slices each....

Injection
Today I went for some vaccination jab for my India trip. Had 3 jabs, Influenza, Typhoid Fever and Diphtheria. Also drew blood for Hep A & B test.....
Now, arms are sore, a little headache, with a slight fever....doctor said it's normal...........
Someone asked me, why when I went Vietnam, Indonesia and China I did not go for these jabs. Why India only.........hmmm...am I really prejudice....?

11TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Since my 2 buddies and my wife blogs have something about wedding anniversary, so how could I miss out my. Anyway, my wife complaint I have not written anything about it.......
This is our 11th year......we have come a long way, been thru ups and downs, sorrows and joy, thin and fat(for me only), fat and thin(for Yvonne only).....
Indeed, these 11 years, God had saw us through and have showered us with His blessings. Of course, the Greatest gift beside Jesus, to me, is my wife. She is sweet, understanding, pretty, hardworking, funny, lovely, graceful, gentle, sexy, love Jesus,.......she is the best gift from God to me......
Thank you Jesus..........for you are the Lord of our household. Love you Jesus, love you Yvonne!

Taking Back Somethings from the Sunday Service
While preparing for Church yesterday morning, I told myself I need to bring something back from the service.
Stanely lead in fantastic time of worship, as ususal. The preacher was Lialian Poon; and I was "being touched" by one of the point she mentioned in her sermon.
She said , "it is easy to defeat the devil! But it is diffcult to defeat SELF." I agreed with her statement. To defeat the devil, we just need to stand on the authority of Christ Jesus." (Mark 3:14-16)
To defeat SELF, basically mean to rid ourslef from things that will hinder us from drawing near to our Saviour. This is really diffcult!!!!
And the sloution is, not going to a mountain and pray....hide from the things of the world. I believe the key is paryer and fasting. Fasting is a denial of the flesh.....
