Dinner with the Mandarin Care Groups Brothers

Last evening, I have the honour of being invited to the dinner gathering with E9 Mandarin men care group dinner at Double Joy Restaurant.

I was suppose to do interpretation for Pastor Danny Han, but he could not made so Bro. Keh shared in mandarin instead. So I was there just to eat and fellowship.

I had a good time "fellowshipping" with the "older" brothers and the "newer" ones like those PRC (I baptised 1 of them).

Brother Siang Wai is doing a great job with this group of people, may God continue to guide and strengthen him and his works.

Conducting Breavement and Funeral Service

I have once again the honour of being the contact person for Region 9/10 emergency matters during Church Camp 2009 in KL.

For the many years I have been the contact person during church camp, my main duty was leading prayer meeting in both English and Mandarin. I was still jokingly mentioned that nothing will happened, referring to death (funeral) because it only happened once a few years back. It was Eric Ten's father. Considering 1 in past 8 -9 years....I really doubt it would happened.

Well, on Sunday the day before the camp, I was told a Chinese congregation member went home with the Lord. So Sis Ann help to get the bulletin out and I have sleepless night preparing the short bereavement message in mandarin....yes, first time doing it in full mandarin....

The service went well on Monday evening. Called my gang to come and support the wake as most members were in church camp. Thanks Timothy for playing the guitar. There was no sound system for the wake, as I literally yelled my message, shower of blessing(saliva) for those seating near me...

The second day was the cremation, so I took leave to conduct the funeral. Esther Soh, Kok Beng & Racheal came upon my request. Esther helped in the songs and reading Psalms 23 in Cantonese. I shared a very brief message again...something real simple....and the crying began...

While preparing the messages, I was once again reminded of the hope we have, and the hopelessness of those who do not have Christ. How blessed are we, lets not take our blessing fore granted.

Changi Village Hotel and Pulau Ubin

Yap, we are back to stay at the Changi Village hotel, but this time we paid Pulau Ubin a short visit.
This was Nathan first visit to this island...he was fascinated and was excited throughout the cycling. Up hill and down hill....monitor lizards, birds, kampong style houses.....

While we are back in the hotel, we have Chancey with us on Staurday evening, supposed to stayed overnight but got scared away by me...I think.....or is he finding excuses to go back....like when I was young....hahaha

In all, we really enjoy ourselves very much....though tiring...but...really like to be with my wife, son and Chancey....err...Mabel too lah.......

VFC Water Baptism Day

13 June 2009, VFC corporate water baptism day. It was a day I will remember for a long time. Why?....First of all, I baptised my disciple...Stanley. Second, my partner for the baptism was changed last minutes to Andrew, my the other disciple (more than 10 years ago). What a privilege honour, and great favour of the Lord in my life. I secretly wept that day.....hee hee

Smile, you are about to die....
Drowning?
New life, new joy ...look at the joy on our faces

Thirdly, 230++ got baptised that day..one of the largest numbers of baptism I have seen since I joined Calvary Charismatic Centre in a single baptism day. We have a total turn out easy over a thousand.
Congrats, bros and sis from Region E9/10 on your baptism...
All who are getting baptised...

Fourthly, thank God for the fine weather. With the weather these days being so hot....we have a cloudy and windy for the baptism. The sun was sheltered by the clouds, wind was blowing gently....Perfect weather for a picnic and ...baptism....

Fifthly, thank you for the fellowship before the baptism....
David, Jaden, Serne, Yvonne, Nathan, Jia Wen, Stanley, Ruth.....where is Nathan?

Sixthly, thank you Pastor Danny Han for being such an awesome pastor. No pic because Ps Han does not allow me to post it...lol
