Leadership & Trust

An articles on wage increase for ministers and civil servants pointed out that regardless of the reasons for the increased, the govt will have to gain the trust of her people. Without that trust people will questions it's pay raised.

Trust is what all leaders would like and need to have from their followers. If the followers trust the leadership, they will advanced. Otherwise, together they will moved nowhere.

Simply put, a leader must have the confidence of those he is leading.

**Authority(leadership) is not the power a boss has over subordinates, but rather the boss's ability to influence subordinates to recognise and accept that power. - (can't remember who wrote this).

**A recent study showed that people would rather follow a leader they disagree with than one they agree with if the latter is constantly changing positions. - John Maxwell
