1 I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy.
2 Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.
3 The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came upon me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.
4 Then I called on the name of the LORD : "O LORD, save me!"
5 The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.
6 The LORD protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, he saved me.
7 Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.
8 For you, O LORD, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling,
9 that I may walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
10 I believed; therefore I said, "I am greatly afflicted."
11 And in my dismay I said, "All men are liars."
12 How can I repay the LORD for all his goodness to me?
13 I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.
14 I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people.
15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
16 O LORD, truly I am your servant; I am your servant, the son of your maidservant; you have freed me from my chains.
17 I will sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the LORD.
18 I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people,
19 in the courts of the house of the LORD— in your midst, O Jerusalem. Praise the LORD.

Through Crisis I Returned
"Through Crisis I Returned to God" a quote I found in an article about a terminally ill man.
He used to be a believer in Christ and attend church faithfully. However, as he progressed in live, he left his faith. He only returned, when he was taken ill, without a cure. That when he began to prioritised his live and that is also when he found the loving kindness of his Father.
I told this story to Yvonne, her question was
Y: why people come to the Lord only in crisis?
I : when you received Christ, was it in some situation too?
My thought : If crisis can bring us (back) to the Lord, and gain eternal life...than it is worth it.
For what is the purpose of gaining everything but yet lost your soul.
It is the loving kindness and His magnificent grace that we can be in Him. Because it is not by works but by His grace.

Falling Sick Again
Got this throat infection and an ulcer at the throat since Thursday. Doctor Hiak said it is a bad infection and the throat is very inflamed. But hor, I don't feel any pain or discomfort at the throat. The only place of discomfort is the swollen nodes on the left side of the neck, where the ucler is.
So please, pray for me....Nathan too is suffering from throat infection....he lost his voice....since Monday....today his voice is much better..just like my swollen node.

Lost
Due to Yvonne having chicken pox, we barred ourselves from 2 Sunday Services. But praise be to God, Yvonne has now recovered.
But to my horror....no one actually inform us that the service location has been changed for this Sunday. And I was in leaders meeting last Tuesday but yet no one mentioned to me. If it wasn't an email Yvonne received regarding CW, we would have gone to the usual service venue.
Joanna Lee too wasn't in the service due to personal matters, also did not know the changes. She said if Yvonne had not told her, she would have waited for the bus at the usual place.
Hmm...is there a lack in something in the church?

Mission Night
Here it goes again.........
Every 6 months, I will be called upon to lead and coordinate the Divisional Mission Rally....but I have since 4 years ago told the Church regional leadership that I do not wish to hold the role of Divisional Overseer.
So this will be the 8th time that I have to repeat to them. I have send email as early as January than in June. However, nothing has been followed through.
I have play "hard ball" this round though, dropping the whole project (as I did the last round), to just pick it up again last minute. My heart ache when I see no one taking care of the sheep....so I pick it up this round...finding a venue for the rally.....
Prayerfully, this will be my last time doing this.... : o )
