Looking forward for Andrew and Karen return from Doha. Times just passed by without us noticing. It was one year ago we had send them off at the airport.

Joshua & Jocelyn Wedding

Last Saturday, was the wedding of Joshua & Jocelyn; I have knew them since their youth!!!!

Afternoon at the church wedding, I met lots of old friends who I hardly get a chance to meet, people like Ferri Ang, Jason Oon, Elvin Foong, Victor, Esmond and more.....

Than had the honour to seat with a bunch of young people at the wedding dinner. Their respect for the "elderly" could be felt in "depth"....hahaha...Afterall, they are but all my grown up youths.

Kenny's Birthday

The Care Group celebrated Kenny's birthday last Friday.

She is Santha the birthday gal.....we celebrated late cos all of us were busy at work....suppose to be 1 March 2008....

We had a great lunch at Crystal Jade, Jurong Point.

Most of us reached Singapore Changi Airport at about 11.30pm to bid bon voyage to our dearest Karen…err..she wasn’t at the airport till about 12midnight!!!

And our miss "blur"…her luggages were grossly overweight. At the end, the airline was graciously allowed 40kgs instead of 25kgs. And yet Karen had to repack and removed all her Korean DVDs and 2 ACCA books…yup ACCA books….

Am so sad, yet happy....sad because I will miss Karen, she had brought forward her flight from 21 Dec to 18 Dec. Happy..for Andrew lor, finally his wife is joining him in the land of richness, DoHa.

To be frank, I really miss Andrew. And now with Karen joining him there...it feel like some parts of my live seems to be missing. Maybe, after all these years with Andrew and Karen, they are already part of my family. sob sob sob.....

Harry - the sewing kind

Harry showed us his masterpiece last night at the care group....



He had this cut at his left feet. Doctor gave him some cream but it didn't get any better. So he took a black string and needle and sewed it himself. And he said proudly, " I also used super glue to make sure the flesh stick together".

We insisted he must go see a doctor!

MONICA

I received a sms last week, it said “Monica has done home dancing with the Lord……”
My heart dropped, nose red and tears rolled down. She was only 37yo (if I don’t remember wrongly).

I am not exactly closed to Monica, but have known her for a long time. We have served the Lord in many occasions, church camps, outreach events (e.g. singing Christmas Tree), family days, missions, children programes, etc.

It was like yesterday seeing her hosting the Family Day at Wild Wild Wet in May 07. My son was so thrilled by her “one clap, many many claps”…..Now she is on longer with us, but at a better place that the Lord, Christ Jesus has prepared for her.

May be, in our eyes, she can do so much more, can fulfill even more of her dreams, so much more in live that she can enjoyed….. but…. I strongly believed, she had fulfilled her destiny in the Lord…..and where else is better than to be with the Lord….

Goodbye my frenz…….. miss you…….and see ya in heaven…….

前 ‘55’ 区的领导 聚集在HDB的职员café`。 在那里，我感受到一种温馨，熟络， 彷弗是跟家人在一起， 那么的舒服，那么的自在。

Jackie in Hospital

hahaha........Jackie was in hospital too last week. She was warded to SGH for her "broken leg". This was her 2nd operation. A few years back she broke one of her leg, now the other side...... : 0 (

Visited her shortly after her ops.....look pale and weak. So we did not disturbed her. Went back the same evening and she was still drowsy cos of the medication. So Yvonne decided to visit her again on Saturday. She looked much better and can even joke a little by now. Told her Pastor suggested to change her name to Jasmine.........hmmm..... I am still wonder why "Jasmine"......?

Joke aside, must pray for her speedy recovery......she needs to get back to work to save money to get married......hor EW?.

A Relaxing Evening

Andrew, Chee Leong and I were having dinner at Vivo.

The place we were at, Pacific Coffee was great too....nice ambience. Thank Chee Leong for recommending..... : o )
Oh, we met Mabel(Chency's mom) there too.

Chee Leong had great and exciting news on some of his contacts(those guys playing soccer). They have asked him out for gathering beside playing soccer. There was an addition soccer members too....a regualr navy personel (20+yo) just joined in the team. He was there one Saturday and requested to play with them.
We believe Chee Leong can continue to develope friendship with these guys......and perhaps one day lead them to Christ. Jokingly, Chee Leong already has his Net Group. Beside that, he also got a fat pay raised!!!!!

Oh, Andrew, Chee Leong......thanks for making time out last night..........I enjoyed it!!!!

Dinner Last Nite

Had dinner with Eng Wee and Amos last night. Had a great time catching up with these 2 young men. Hope they enjoyed it too.........hahaha..........

Oh, found out that a packet of cigratte cost $10 these days........scary...........heehee....no, none of us smoke..........Amos's "men" asked him to buy back camp. It was his night off and can booked in at 2359hrs.........but too bad, I am married with a 6yo handsome cute son and a beautiful wife.........so need to leave early.... : o ) ...........sorry Amos.............hahaha....
